1940年神奈川県生まれ。桑沢デザイン研究所、ライトパブリシティを経て、75年浅葉克己デザイン室を設立。サントリー「夢街道」、西武百貨店「おいしい生活」、武田薬品「アリナミンA」、ミサワホーム「家ではスローにん」等、数々の広告を手がける。民主党ロゴマークを制作。日本アカデミー賞、紫綬褒章など受賞多数。東京ADC委員、東京TDC理事長、JAGDA理事、国際グラフィック連盟日本代表、東京造形大学・京都精華大学客員教授。卓球六段。’08年に21_21 DESIGN SIGHT「祈りの痕跡。」展を開催。同展の空間デザインと出品作品「浅葉克己日記」で2009年ADCグランプリを受賞。

浅葉克己氏は全優石の「命の復幸計画」に共鳴し、自ら第一号のデザインを引き受けるとともに国内外の多くのデザイナーにも呼びかけ、“アートでつなぐ” 「津波記憶石」を全面的に支援していただけることになりました。また、支援の一環として自ら制作したパウル・クレーをテーマとしたオリジナルデザインポスター2点を印刷、販売。その収益金の30％を義捐金として活用していただけることにもなりました。

◆ パウル・クレー / Paul Klee
パウル・クレー（Paul Klee、1879年12月18日 - 1940年6月29日）は20世紀のスイスの画家、美術理論家。
1900年ミュンヘン美術アカデミーに入学。
フランツ・フォン・シュトゥックの指導を受ける。3 3歳にてカンディンスキー、フランツ・マルクが結成した「青騎士」の第2回展に参加。1921年バウハウスの教授を務める。その後52歳にて退職。1939年間総制作点数、生涯最多の1253点を制作。1940年心筋炎による心臓麻痺によって死去。享年60歳。

◆ バウハウス / Bauhaus
バウハウス (Bauhaus, バオハオス) は、1919年、ドイツ・ヴァイマルに設立された、工芸・写真・デザインなどを含む美術と建築に関する総合的な教育を行った学校。また、その流れを汲む合理主義的・機能主義的な芸術を指すこともある。学校として存在し得たのは、ナチスにより1933年に閉校されるまでのわずか14年間であるが、表現傾向はモダニズム建築に大きな影響を与えた。
バウハウスはドイツ語で「建築の家」を意味し、中世の建築職人組合であるバウヒュッテ (Bauhütte, 建築の小屋) という語をグロピウスが現代的にしたものである。
